Web-Site Administrator

Supervised the Community High School World Wide Web Site and developed web pages for use at CHS. Wrote scripts for use with the web server using the AppleScript scripting language. Taught hyper-text markup language (HTML) to students and helped them create web pages of their own. Presented at several conferences for technology in education. Set up and configured POP-Mail and Apple Remote Network servers for use at CHS. General maintainence of computer stations at CHS. Evaluated and tested software and hardware.

Went through training to work at the CAEN Hot-Line. Worked with a small group of people to put the U of M College of Engineering Bulletin online. The process included: extracting text from Aldus PageMaker documents on Macintosh computers, importing text into FrameMaker documents on Sun Workstations, converting FrameMaker documents into HTML text with a Perl script.

Editor for the fall and spring editions of Free Verse, the CHS literary magazine. Demonstrated various Internet tools to Ann Arbor School Board members. Configured remote connectivity for AAPS Superintendant John Simpson. Took the AP Calculus (AB) test. Played tennis for Pioneer High School.

9th and 10th grade

Artwork displayed in local shows. Recieved a certificate of recognition for outstanding MEAP scores. Attended MACUL in March. Assisted at Bach Open Elementary School in maintaining the network, programming, and trouble shooting. Helped out with the U of M Computers In Early Literacy (CIEL) program. Played tennis for Pioneer High School.

Learned how to use the UNIX operating system. Became familiar with several Internet "navigation" tools. Furthured knowledge of the C++ programming language. Explored several Engineering applications on high-end computer systems, including: MCAD and Unigraphics II, Ray tracing, QuickTime and multimedia, FrameMaker, Mathematica, Artificial Intelligence. Recieved awards for Computing Achievement and Best Mosaic Homepage.

MST at MSU, Michigan State University
Summer, 1991

The Math Science and Technology at MSU program was a two week residential experience. Stayed in the MSU dorms and took classes in physics, chemistry, microbiology, math, and computer science. Recieved certificate of recognition for outstanding achievement.
